KALIFX MT5 Metrics – User Instructions

The KALIFX MT5 Metrics Tool collects your MetaTrader 5 trading performance, calculates key metrics such as net profit, win rate, drawdown, and trade expectancy, and generates a detailed HTML report with equity curves, monthly performance, and recent trades. The tool works with live trading accounts, demo accounts, or historical data from MT5.

What You Need

  • MetaTrader 5 (MT5) installed
  • A demo or live trading account
  • KALIFX MT5 Metrics Tool
  • MT5 running and logged into your account

How to Use – Step by Step

  1. Launch MetaTrader 5 and ensure you are logged into your trading account.
  2. Open the KALIFX MT5 Metrics Tool Python application.
  3. Fill in the configuration fields in the GUI:
    • Initial Balance: Starting balance for calculations.
    • Account Symbol: Currency symbol for display (e.g., $ or R).
    • Recent Trades Count: Number of recent trades to show in the report.
    • Update Interval (seconds): How often the HTML report is refreshed automatically.
    • Output HTML File: Name and location of the generated report file.
    • Start Date: Date from which trade history should be analyzed.
  4. Click ▶ START SERVICE to connect the tool to MT5 and begin data collection.
  5. The tool will fetch your closed trades, calculate metrics, and generate an HTML report automatically.
  6. Click 🌐 Launch next to the output file field to open the latest report in your browser.
  7. Click ⏹ STOP SERVICE to stop the background updates safely.

Where the Report Is Saved

By default, the report HTML file is saved in the same folder as the script. You can choose a custom location and file name in the Output HTML File field.

  • Monthly performance with returns and win/loss visualization

Important Notes

  • Ensure MT5 is running and logged into the correct account before starting the service.
  • The tool only reads closed trades; open trades are not included in the report.
  • Large account histories may take some time to fetch — updates run in chunks of one year by default.
  • Reports auto-refresh in the browser based on the update interval you set.
  • The tool supports both demo and live accounts for continuous performance tracking.
